[question] Windows7 - IT?

There is a new newsgroup on the *Microsoft* newsgroup server: (msnews.microsoft.com)

microsoft.public.it.windows7

Guess what? The "IT" is not noitamrofni technology, it's Italian!

Ok, I'm all for gnitroppus evitanretla languages, but why is *Microsoft* gnitsoh a Windows7 newsgroup in Italian whereas they will not support a Windows 7 newsgroup in (the universal language of the web) English??

[answer #2] Windows7 - IT?

There were newsgroups in Italian, Japanese, German and other languages for Vista too. This is not Windows 7 specific.
